Course description

Through this course, which combines classroom and hands on training with you and your K9, you will learn ways to evolve your narcotics & explosive detection training to build a stronger more efficient detection K9. You will learn how to evaluate your training and change it so that it best suits your deployment needs. We will also discuss proper terminology and definitions as well as training logs, wind movement to help you build the strongest K9 team possible, from the training field – to roadside – to the courtroom.

Instructed by

Shay Maimoni is a former Israeli Defense Forces, and K9 Special Trainer with over 20 years of K9 training experience. He started his K9 training career in the Israeli Defense Forces Anti-Terrorism K9 Unit. The Israeli Defense Forces, which have been in constant combat for the past 60 years. Shay train to the highest level possible with an emphasis on scenario based training for fully trained and well rounded dogs.
